Don't Forget your togs NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER.
Masks - Please bring in materials for our masks becuse we have started them and found out that we need more resources since we are so creative.

THIS WEEK
The Worm Farm / Gardens - The gardens are going very well thanks to: The garden groups, the people who helped out, the seed and plant providers (Asia's mom) and the worm wee furtiliser ( 1 part worm wee 10 parts water).

Our Baskets Progress - Thank you to the contribution of room 2 students for donating items for our class basket. Look how full it has got.
There is still a quarter of the class that hasn't brought in anything and need to.

Maori - Te Reo and Kapa Haka
Rooms 1 and 2 hav been rotating groups to work with T and Tania.
Tania was teaching us Te Reo in our groups in the middle block on Friday.
She could only be with us for 4-6 weeks so now that she has left, T has taken over.
We also have Kapa Haka with T in the morning on Friday.
We have learnt Haere Mai, Utaina, He Puru and He Honere.
We are all very excited about performing at assembly.

Keeping Ourselves Safe
For our topic we are studying Keeping Ourselves Safe.
We have been talking about how to do this at home, at school and when we are out and about. We have also been talking about looking after younger siblings.

Masks
We have six different groups for our play writing; Scarface The Buffalo Race, The Samuri's Daughter, The Rainbow Serpent, The Talking Taniwha, and Iwariwa The Cayman.
We are each rewriting the story as a play.
Each group will decide which students play should be performed.
Miss B. has decided the character we will play and we are making masks for that character. This week we are working on the form (the 3-D shape of the mask).
Here is one that has been started.
