Stories, Inquiry and Swimming
This week Theresa has been reading us a story after lunch each day. So far we have read 'The Last Resort' by J.Patrick Lewis and Roberto Innocenti, 'My Uncle is a Hunkle' by Lauren Child, 'The Whisper' by Nick Butterworth, and 'Billy' by Kate De Goldi. They were all very different from each other.
On Thursday, some children went to the Central Zone swimming sports.
The people from our class who went were Asia, Hannah, Jessica, Jackson, Charquera and Daniel. Jackson got into the Inter-Zone. Jude taught us for the day because Theresa took them.
The students have been giving their Inquiry Presentations to the class.

Next week will be Book Week. We will be having a teacher come into our class every day after lunch to read us a book. On Friday, students are asked to dress up as a favourite book character. We hope EVERYONE will participate in dressing up.
We will also be visited by two children's authors on Thursday, Janice Marriott and Jan Farr. Have a look at Janice's website to learn about what she has written. http://www.janicemarriott.com/ (Theresa)
Also next week, a lot of people are going to the Winter Sports Festival with Theresa. They will be doing soccer, netball, mini-ball or hockey.

I am really impressed with Room two's blog site! Great photos and informative information. Keep up the great work, you have inspired me!
The swimming sports were really fun and in the photo of me before th backstroke race I look like an alien.I didn't mean to puff out my cheeks like that! Congratulations to everyone who went to swimming sports, even if you were like me and came last in a lot of races!I hope Jackson does well in Inter Zone. The Nile on the wall looks really good and the posters were very informative.
